How can I triple the size of a JPG without it becoming horribly pixelated?
Q. I have a JPG photo (600x575) that I need to enlarge to the size of a small poster (roughly 24x18). How can I enlarge it to fit even near this size without it becoming distorted and pixelated?

A. Unfortunately, you can't increase the size of an image and still keep the same resolution. If you think of the image in the sense of stored information, your computer can display that information larger, but it can't invent detail to make it higher resolution. If you have another, higher resolution copy of the the photograph, you could work from that. However, you can display the image larger, at a lower resolution, without the effect of gridded pixels. If you use photoshop or a similar photo editing program, you can enlarge the image and then apply a Gaussian blur. This causes the computer to blindly interpolate between the pixels, so the image will be smother, though not more detailed. The result will resemble the effect of enlarging a… [cont.]

How do you save a raw image into JPG?
Q. Would anyone please tell me how to convert a raw image in photoshop into JPG. I try to save it as jpg but the JPG option doeas not come up in the save window. Thanks

A. Its because the RAW file is 16 bit and a Jpeg is 8 bit. Go to Image/mode and change it to 8 bit and jpg will be an option.

A. Well first of all do you have the right to use the picture? Did you take the photo yourself, pay for it, or get it from a free stock website? If not, find a new picture that follows the above rules otherwise you can be sued. If you do have the right to the picture, is it big enough to print? If no, find a picture that is big enough and follows the above rules. If yes, go to kinkos.
